Traditional archery in Pakistan serves as a unifying force, bringing together individuals across diverse backgrounds. In Peshawar, Sara Khan's archery club stands as a testament to this unity. As the first female-led club in the region, it trains both male and female archers, breaking societal barriers and fostering inclusivity.
The club's diverse membership, ranging from youth to senior citizens, illustrates how archery transcends age and gender, promoting mutual respect and camaraderie. Moreover, the resurgence of interest in archery, partly influenced by cultural media like the Turkish series "Dirilis: Ertugrul," has led to increased participation across Pakistan, further strengthening community ties.
Through its initiatives, PTAF aims to harness this communal spirit, organizing events and workshops that not only teach archery skills but also build lasting relationships among participants.
